We celebrated Harvest in St Bartholomew's Church this morning,Saying thank you to God with songs and prayer. Children presented information about children's meals across time and place - in Albourne, India and in World War II. Thank you to parents who joined us to walk to the church and to stay and enjoy the service. It was lovely to have Revd James with us for the first time.
Thank you also for your generosity - we have lots of harvest gifts to pack up ready for collection by Fare Share, who will distribute the food you have donated to local food banks, so we know that we are helping people in the local community.
Robins class held their own Harvest celebration, sharing their lunchtime prayer, telling the story of the Little Red Hen and singing about the Big Red Combine Harvester that the farmers use to bring in the harvest.
