Summer 2022 - Water
This term our topic is water. In Geography, we will be learning about rivers and the water cycle. We are looking forward to getting out of school to visit Dell Quay near Chichester to take part in some fieldwork activities.
In Art, we will be looking at the paintings of Constable and Turner and creating our own watercolours.
In English we will be reading Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo, writing poems inspired by Shipwrecks and descriptions about the Titanic.
At the end of term we will be having a D.T. day to build bridges.
Homework
Homework can found on the Woodpeckers' Google Classroom page
For the Summer Term, Maths homework is given out on a Monday and collected in the following Monday.
The topic homework grid will also be added below as soon as we are back from the holidays.
Ask Me About
'Ask Me About' newsletters are sent out via email once a fortnight. They let you know what we have been getting up to in class and what is coming up.
Our Learning
Anglo Saxons and Vikings Spring 2022
Our topic took us back to the Early Middle Ages to explore the Anglo-Saxon and Viking invasions and settlements. To kick start our learning we transformed the classroom into the site and set off as archeologists to discover artefacts.

Our Learning
Ancient Greece Autumn 2021
Who were the Ancient Greeks?
What were the key achievements of Ancient Greece?
Can we thank the Ancient Greeks for anything in our lives today?
How does Ancient Greece compare with other historical periods we have studied?
